Once we have every detail of your business books revised, rebuilt, neat and clean we will keep it that way by managing all of your transactions, reconciling accounts, making sure all the bills are entered and paid when due…in short all of the ongoing processes are put in place and maintained in a pristine manner ongoing.
Keeping accurate, up-to-date records of all your business activity is of course essential, but what the story that the numbers tell about the health and stability of your business is vital for you to know. Now we prepare, present, explain, analyze and interpret for you to bring you the pertinent information you need to keep your business thriving.
Because I know what it’s like to work 80+hours per week and by the time the weekends came around being too tired to enjoy all the reasons why I was driven to have a profitable business in the first place! In the early days of my first business, I recall many nights spent sitting at my dining room table at 10 o’clock, so tired but knowing it had to be done…typing invoices, trying to maintain some semblance of sanity while catching up on who owed me money and to whom I owed money. With all this hard work was I actually making a profit? Were my customers paying on time or at all? Was I behind on what I owed to vendors. And uh oh, it’s time to file quarterlies and then God knows what I’ll owe in taxes. The nagging feeling that you thought you had the sliver out but you can still feel it – kinda like knowing that you’re behind in your books and maybe you need to present financials for a loan or quarterly tax payments due/overdue or year end tax returns…
Me too…so having a rather low pain tolerance, I quickly saw the absolute necessity of hiring a bookkeeper at least and maybe a couple of them and also a good CPA to handle all the many tax details. I knew that I had to stay razor focused on running my business, not on the logistical side that could be handled so much better by those whose job it was to keep track of it all!
What does tidy feel like?
Tidy feels so good! Like …clean sheets on the bed, freshly cleaned house, laundry all folded and put away, closet all sorted (shoes and all), freshly detailed car inside and out (or that new car smell, fresh off the dealer lot), garage cleaned up, organized, boxed up and on shelves, all the tools hung up and work bench organized, tackle box all refreshed and ready for your next fishing trip.
It’s like coming home from vacation and your neighbor has mowed the lawn, straightened up the garage and cleaned your house top to bottom!
The FEELING of relief when I knew that I had competent professionals keeping track of the numbers and taxes and all of the other details of staying in compliance as a business owner.
